Shes had a lot to smile about as of late, but Anne Hathaway was as icy as the weather when she arrived at JFK Intl Airport on Dec 11. Looking very comfy yet polished for her flight, Anne started with her dark jeans (check out Desert Blues Fire Element Jean in Cormick Dark Indigo) tucked into distressed boots, a simple white tee under a brown plaid shawl, and a chocolate brown blazer (3J Workshops Moonshadow Leather Blazer in Brown would be perfect with the boots) pulling it together. Out for an afternoon of quality bonding time with her son Maddox, Angelina Jolie headed to the Little Toy Shop in New Orleans on Nov 30, picking up a bag full of goodies for Brangelinas ever expanding brood. Wearing what can best be described as an unflattering sheath dress (try the much classier Color Block Mini Jackie O Dress in Ash by Black Halo), Angie was uncharacteristically happy as she exited the shop -- when was the last time she smiled that convincingly? Back to the dress, I have no idea what possessed her to wear something so tight that does absolutely nothing for her figure besides fuel pregnancy rumors. I must say I do like the barefoot illusion of her nude flats (although Matikos Adena Flat in Black would look perfect with the Black Halo dress)-- she just needs to lose the dumpy dress! Angies mirror framed aviators and black messenger bag (Carla Mancinis Wavy Top with Braid Handle and Front Pocket in Grey Crocodile is a fun twist) add a much needed dash of cool to her fit, giving me the impression she might have had some extra time to put her look together on her trip down south. Glancing in a mirror might have helped the dress situation, but at least shes wearing color again! A few weeks ago, Angie made some surprising statements about lessening her workload to focus on her family: Nobody should ever say Im retiring... so its not as dramatic as that. Its been a year since Ive worked and Ill work for a few months and maybe it will be another year, maybe two, and Ill just work every once in a while... Soaking up the brilliant sunshine in Miami with a hefty dose of art and culture, Kirsten Dunst headed south for the Art Basel 2008 fair on Dec 4. SHADES OF GRAY [New Window]
Looking half posh fashionista, half frumpy mom, Katie Holmes cupped a toasty beverage from Starbucks as she headed off to another day at the theater on Dec 3 in New York, NY. Even in LA its been cold lately, and Ive been indulging in the special holiday drinks from Starbucks to warm me up just like Katie -- how addicting is the peppermint mocha? Drawing a little inspiration from Jackie O with her chocolate Birkin and round framed sunnies, I like the comfortable simplicity of this daytime look, but it could use a little color. Hope shes not reflecting her dreary mood in her fit! Katie has been looking pretty sullen lately coming and going from her apartment, and a disgruntled TomKat ex-employee recently shed light on a possible root of the problem: Tom was the one who demanded Katie cut her hair. She cried when he made her do it. Once, when Katie was talking to another male actor after performance in All My Sons, a guard came over and whisked her away. Tom doesnt like Katie talking to other men, especially in public. I have to be skeptical because everyone hates their boss, but isnt it a little odd that rumors continually surface about Toms controlling behavior? Someone must have finally convinced Angelina Jolie to come out of mourning and put on a little color! Attending a screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in New Orleans on Dec 1, Brangelina made a swanky appearance on the red carpet dressed impeccably in a LWren Scott dress. Having a little fun with buttons on the back of her dress, Angie swept her espresso tresses into a loose do, showcasing her sparkling antique studs. Wearing cream peep-toes by Stuart Weitzman and adding a classic crimson pucker as the finishing touch, its very refreshing to see Angie looking vibrant again, even though the look is a little old glamour. PUCKERING UP FOR KATSUYA [New Window]
On the eve of her nephews birth, Jessica Simpson had a girls night out on Nov 17 at Katsuya in West Hollywood, dining with a few gal pals and enjoying some tasty sashimi. Showing off a painfully plumped up pucker and an ostentatiously large bag (if you like the oversized shape, try Antoinette Lees Stella Bag in Black), its a bit surprising to see Jess covering up her voluptuous assets with a navy double breasted blazer (nab the professional look with a wintery twist with Amberlynns Victoria Coat in Plum) as she made her way back to her car after din-din. Jessica recently revealed more about what goes on up there in an interview dishing on getting over ex Nick Lachey, whom she split with almost six years ago. To deal with the pain, Jess turned to writing to help her cope: "It (writing in a diary) is very, very therapeutic. There is a lot about heartbreak, there is a lot about perseverance. I used it as inspiration for my album. I used certain journal excerpts from certain journal entries. It has been an awesome experience for me." So... Jessica Simpson not only keeps a diary, she used it to write some of the songs on her new album? Try to wrap your mind around that one......

Dont mess with Jessica Alba! AH, THE PANT SUIT! [New Window]
In a blinding white satin suit, Natasha Bedingfield made a starting entrance on the red carpet on the 2008 American Music Awards on Nov 23 in Los Angeles. Making a stab at the female suit trend, Im so jolted by the clown-like make-up, ill fitting suit, pale cleavage and red strappy heels that Im not quite sure what to make of this. One thing is certain: its officially time to hire a stylist for red carpet appearances! If you like the professional vibe, try a more feminine approach with Laura Dahls Marshall Cropped Jacket in White with a tucked in tank and Shumaqs Linen Pencil Skirt in White, and add a statement-making necklace like Rock Paper Scissors Peacock Necklace in Gold. Nats oversized, plain pendant necklace throws me off just as much as the rest of the fit, but Im wondering if she was trying to match the red lips and heels with the crimson frock she wore for her performance later in the night. Its the only explanation I can think of! Natasha has been keeping herself busy with the New Kids on the Block tour, but while traveling on the bus Nat has made it a priority to visit as many schools as possible to inspire the kids to express themselves through music. Lucky kids in a few cities got to come on board the Lennon bus, fully equipped with a recording studio and writing space for Natasha. On a recent trip back to the UK, Nat raved to a British mag about her passion for penmanship: Song writing is what I love doing the most out of anything I do and its very creative and I love just sitting in a room and just starting to jam. Minus the boots Id think shed just come from the gym, not from a meeting with the head honchos! The simple bangle bracelet (add any interesting twist to any fit with CC Skyes Deco Soho Bracelet in White) adds a little style, but not enough to pull together this look. Nevertheless, it looks like Cams in good spirits, and I have a feeling it has to do with her continued romance with British model Paul Sculfor. From the outside it looks like theyre completely smitten with each other, unable to keep their hands off each other in public, but it seems Cam might not be quite over her ex Justin Timberlake just yet. Last week while attending CNNs All-Star Tribute event, Cam was mysteriously absent on the red carpet -- reportedly to avoid running into JTs current fling, Jessica Biel! A source at the event leaked that Cam snuck in through the backstage door to avoid any awkward run-ins, and the actresses onstage schedules were timed carefully to prevent a face-to-face encounter. Always up for a good time, Kristen Bell spent her Saturday strolling through Disneyland in Anaheim, CA with her man Dax Shepard on Nov 29. Sharing a laugh and looking a bit goofy while fishing for something in her purse, Kristen enjoyed her time at the happiest place on earth with her beau in ultra comfy white Chuck Taylors and a casual autumn fit. Victoria Beckham was spotted making her way through Heathrow Airport in London, England yesterday, November 30, surrounded by photographers and bodyguards. Its hard to believe shes already been doing this for a decade, and even harder to believe that a 28 year old mom can shake it so well! After a draining international flight from London, Kate Hudson and a very sleepy Ryder Robinson touched down at LAX Airport on Nov 25, presumably to spend the holidays at home with grandma Goldie Hawn. For the second night in a row, Eva Longoria dined at her Hollywood eatery Beso on Nov 19, although this time her visit was strictly business after the previous nights festivities. It takes a lot for the body to process red meat and Ive never been a fan of chickens. I completely agree with her, but Besos signature paella just wont be the same without the tasty chorizo! Lindsay Lohan was spotted in Beverly Hills yesterday, November 25, heading out of an appointment with her psychiatrist, followed by a little bit of retail therapy at Balenciaga right after. The always demure Paris Hilton was spotted striking all of her trademark poses on the red carpet of the American Music Awards in LA on November 23, but one thing I noticed stopped me dead in my tracks. I have three horrific words for you. SPARKLY. ACRYLIC. NAILS. I thought Id seen it all, but then Paris has to go and prove me wrong. Leave it to P, she went there. Given the honor of presenting one of CNNs Hero Awards, Cameron Diaz made an appearance at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Nov 22 for the All-Star Tribute awards ceremony. Though Cam isnt one of the first politically active celebs you would associate with a news-tank like CNN, she joined other actresses from Jessica Biel and Lucy Liu to youngster Selena Gomez at the star-spangled ceremony. With Alicia Keys, John Legend and Christina Aguilera performing, it might be worth it to switch the tube from football to CNN this Turkey day, when the awards show airs. To present her Hero Award, Cameron dressed the part in a tailored black jacket with a sparkly ruffed collar (try Shumaqs similarly ruffled Corinnes Coat in Black), coordinating ebony pencil skirt (like AmberLynns fun Zipper Skirt in Black) and plain noir pumps, all complemented by a conservative do with loose waves around her face. The adorable Reese Witherspoon was spotted heading into the studio to film an appearance on "Good Morning America" in NYC (probably to promote her upcoming film, Four Christmases) on November 24, looking classic as always.
