| READY FOR SUNSHINE May 1, 2009 at 2:19 am |
| | Clearly enjoying the warmer temps in NYC , Anne Hathaway jumped at the chance to take a stroll with her beau through downtown Manhattan on April 25. The cute couple took Annes chocolate lab for a walk and grabbed lattes on the way, holding hands while enjoying the sunny day. Im loving the uber short denim mini (try Aristocrats Valentina Dress in Cymberlime) and t-strap Mary Janes, but who told her it was okay to tie short scarves backward? She did the same thing at the Phoenix airport in Feb. The strip of color cuts off her neck and distracts from the fit - if she was wearing it forward it would add to the neckline instead of subtracting from it, dont you think? In addition to the scarf (add a little pop of color to your fit with options like A Graves Lock and Key Scarf in Blue), Anne accessorized her fit with a tan leather tote (check out Carla Mancinis sassy Braided Handle with Front Tab in Tan Crocodile) and red aviators. What do you think of her summery look - can she pull it off? After all the trouble Anne went through last year with men, its good to see her happily smitten one again - and Adam is totally hot! The cuddly couple were spotted hanging out at the Coachella music fest last weekend, checking out acts including Paul McCartney and the Killers - and maybe doing a little kiss and make up? The pair have been an item for almost six months now, which is equivalent to a few years in Hollywood time. Do you think theyll last?... |
| WHICH LOOK DO YOU LOVE? May 1, 2009 at 1:07 am |
| | Even celebs are getting thrifty with their purchases these days: Nicky Hilton, Katy Perry, and Mischa Barton have been spotted at various destinations around the globe wearing the same fabulous peacock frock from Matthew Williamson for H and Ms Spring 2009 collection (this one is sold out, but if you like the standout mini, try CoutureCandys picks like Plenty by Tracy Reeses Ruffled Shift Dress in Gumdrop Stripes, Black Halos Boatneck Sheath Dress with Hip Sash in Print or Ingwa Meleros Printed Sahara Dress in Blue/Berry). KP started the trend in NYC on April 9 when she wore the dress to sushi dinner at Nobu before attending Paper Magazines "Beautiful People Party 2009," playing up the bold blue mini with black tights, shiny metallic heels and an adorably kitschy pucker shaped purse. You can tell Im a fan of the fun accessory - do you think the shape is cheesy? Nicky worked the peacock theme next, wearing the dress to make a celebrity guest appearance at Prive at the Planet Hollywood hotel in Las Vegas. Nicky paired the dress with her fav electric blue Loubs and a coordinating blue peacock clutch, also from the collection. I love the purse but do you think the matchy-matchy theme is too much? Trying out the trend for herself, Mischa was spotted having a ciggie (or a fag?) outside her hotel in London on April 23, coincidentally the same day the Matthew Williamson collection was released to the rest of us. She added a little edge to the fit with neon aviators, a silver cuff, black fringed bag and the same spunky bubblegum pink, black and red booties as Heidi Montag wore while shopping in Beverly Hills last week. I guess everyone is just copying everyone elses style these days! Who do you think rocked the frock best?... | | | |
