| | Nicole Richie and her adorable daughter Harlow were spotted going on a stroll through Hollywood yesterday, May 1, and Nicole has definitely hit her maternity style stride with all the casual-cool maxi dresses shes been seen in lately. For yesterdays outing, she and her growing belly slipped into a long brown jersey dress (like Poko Panos Arabella Long Dress in Chocolate), and then kept her accessories simple and black. She paired a black slouchy beanie, oversized sunnies, black flip flops, and a metallic and black hobo bag (Antoinette Lee Designs makes two similar totes, the Dolce Handbag in Black/Crushed Gold and the Anna Stitch Tote in Bone/Black). And of course, she carried along her precious daughter in her arms, along with a tie-dye diaper bag and an orange sippy cup. PS I am totally loving those red studded booties little H is rocking. Killer! It seems like celebrities have really embraced the blogging/Twittering hemisphere lately, and Ms. Richie is no exception. Recently, she took to the blog of her official website to share a childhood memory with her fans. Nicole blogged, "When I was 10 years old, I was in an all girl hip-hop/rap group. (oh were just getting started). Our name? get ready... CAUTION! It was me and my 2 girlfriends; but they were 13 so they made me audition. I was soooo excited when I got in! All I can think of is the 3 of us going up to my mom with a straight face and singing her our first song. We were dead serious. And I even remember part of our rap. Im getting chills of embarrassment even typing this." Love it. Of course, Nicole wouldnt go without posting the lyrics to the first part of her rap. "The rap lyrics I remember were: Caution! Walking down the street. You better watch out, and step to the beat. Playing our music from town to town Rockin and Rollin were gonna get down!" Hilarious! | | A freshly blonder Leighton Meester was seen working the red carpet of the Star Trek movie premiere at Graumans Chinese Theatre in LA on Thursday night, April 30, rocking a head-to-toe YSL look. Starting with a fashion-forward blue-grey YSL frock with zipper and bow detailing (for more casual/wearable version, try Ella Moss Chantal Puffsleeve Dress in Night or P.G.D. | | A coy-looking Rihanna was spotted leaving Katsuya Hollywood with Jay-Z last night, April 30, after dining with a group of 5 on yellowtail with jalapeño, miso cod, and baked crab hand roll, complemented by Houereki sake, according to People. Also in the house at Katsuya was Leighton Meester with her boyfriend Sebastian Stam, as well as Jessica Simpson, who ate separately from the "Umbrella" songstress and her "Big Pimpin" partner in crime. For her sushi-licious night out, RiRi started with a turquoise jacket draped over a basic black (and sheer, might I add) tank (check out Signorellis embellished Peace Heart Rhinestoned Tank in Black), and paired with a slouchy pair of destroyed, cuffed boyfriend jeans (very similar to Tag Jeans Montauk Boyfriend Jean in Light Vintage). Accessory wise, R chose an oversized statement necklace, a few beaded bracelets (try Castaway Jewelrys Grenada Bracelet in Dark Topaz or the Molakai Bracelet in Blue/Gold), and black and white heels. | | The usually sunny Rachel Bilson was seen looking mighty grumpy as she strolled through the Lower East Side in NYC earlier this morning, May 1, stopping by Au Bon Pain for a quick cup of soup. Rach also toted along a bright red umbrella with her for her morning outing, as rain was expected to be on the horizon. For Rachels simple and casual look, she started with a pair of standard black leggings (like Zoas Logo Long Leggings in Black) with a pair of black leather boots that almost look like a mixture between cowboy boots and riding boots. Next up, Rachel slipped into a long pocketed tank (Smittens ) under a black blazer (try William Rasts Outerwear Black Jacket), and toted along the Jimmy Choo "Kiki" bag (check out Linea Pelles Dylan Large Bowler Bag in Cognac). I know RBs look is super basic - but for running errands around town, do you think it works? While we all know Rachel from her role as Summer on "The O.C.," it is being reported that she is taking on a new role, that of a columnist. | | Channeling old fashioned glam at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC, Katie Holmes made a classy entrance at the Independent Feature Project 30th Year Celebration on April 26. Stepping out for a night away from Tom and Suri, Katie was the host of the evening at the Cooper Square Hotel in the NoHo neighborhood. KH mingled with attendees in a sexy draped keyhole halter top and matching silk pants, both by Alexander McQueen (spice up the look with picks like Karina Grimaldis Karolina Wrap Top in Mystic Midnight or Black Halos Cowl Halter Top with Belt in Bronze with Lotta Stenssons casual Linen Palazzo Pant in Black for summer). I like the top but do you think the loose fit does anything for Katies figure? She has the right tall, lanky figure to pull off ensembles like this but the all black, shiny look is a little blah - especially compared to McQueens more risk-taking pieces. Then again, Katie Holmes is no daredevil - we all know Tom keeps her style in check! Katie dressed up her fit with envious wedge sandals by Givenchy, a wide rectangle clutch (I love CC Skyes Niki Clutch in Black, or try the Electric Blue shade) and a statement golf cuff (check out CC Skyes disco-loving Studio 54 Mesh Cuff in Gold). I cant really say anything bad about the slicked back bob, but for someone who usually goes natural with the make up, theres something about her complexion thats bothering me. What do you all think of Katies IFP look - does it work for her? Katie got involved with the non-profit org to help independent filmmakers network with industry bigwigs while honing in their filmmaking skills. She told ET at the event: Im really honored to be here because they do so much good in helping filmmakers to show their voice and their talents.
