| NOT A BETTING WOMAN April 27, 2009 at 7:30 pm |
| | "The City" star Whitney Port was spotted strolling through the West Village in NYC on Saturday, April 25, sporting a floral-and-leather look during her afternoon outing. Starting with a girly floral-print dress (check out similar offerings from Walter, like their Printed Tank Dress in Blue Multi or their Tulip Print Cross Back Dress in Pink Multi, or Plenty by Tracy Reeses Flared Strapless Dress in Suntil), Whitney then paired a leather motorcycle jacket (like Gold Hawks more feminine Ruffle Leather Jacket in Moonless Night) with black and silver studded stilettos, a pair of black round sunnies, a gold nameplate necklace (check out Danielle Stevens Jewelrys Monogram Necklace in Gold), and an oversized black fringed leather bag (for a white option, take a peek at Carla Mancinis Shoulder Bag with Fringe Rows in Off White). Are you liking WPs look here - if not, what do you think could have been done to improve? I personally like the juxtaposition between the toughness of the jacket and the femininity of the dress. Just my two cents! While it seems that the whole "Hills" stratosphere was invited (and attended - even Lauren!) the massively publicized wedding between the gruesome twosome otherwise known as Heidi and Spencer over the weekend, apparently Whits invite got lost in the mail. She says, "Im not [going]. I just found out about it yesterday, so I guess I wasnt invited–but thats OK." On whether or not she wants to wager on how long their marriage will last, the wise Whitney divulged, "Im not a betting woman. Id rather save the money." Ive said it before and Ill say it again, it seems like Whitney has such a good head on her shoulders!... |
| MK ON THE JURY April 27, 2009 at 2:39 pm |
| | Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted running around in NYC on Friday, April 24, with her arms full of numerous bags, a coffee, and her BlackBerry Bold. While we havent seen MK in a while, its cool to notice that shes still rocking her favorite circular shades - so very John Lennon of her! In a patterned, Springtime kimono-style frock (try Tricia Fixs more vibrant version, the Kimono Dress in Blue Print) with massive wood-wedge heels, MKO accessorized with a brown bag with a long shoulder strap (similar to Carla Mancinis Hobo with Front Lock in Tan), a few rings (check out Erica Anenbergs Horse Cigar Ring in 14k Plated Solid Brass) and some layered necklaces (I like Danielle Stevens Jewelrys Peace Out Necklace in Gold). What are your thoughts on Mary-Kates look here - are you a fan? In other MK news, the tiny twin is a member of the jury for this years Tribeca Film Festival, a huge honor for such a young woman. Olsen discussed how she felt about this position at the Chanel Artists Dinner, saying, "I wish there was a class. Its a huge honor to be a part of it. Ive been watching the movies. I just started, so I dont know what we do or whats going to happen. This is the first night, really. I got my pamphlet this morning. I already watched all the shorts and am going to re-watch them. This is fun." Mary-Kate, film buff? That would be pretty cool to watch so many interesting films, dont you think? MK definitely knows her stuff when it comes to the entertainment industry too. Do you think the Tribeca Film Festival made a wise choice picking this Olsen to be a part of the jury?... | | | |
