| | We havent seen much of Nicky Hilton on CoutureCandy lately - or maybe its just that we see so much of Paris out and about every day that Nickys more subtle sightings are easy to miss? Either way, the classier Hilton sister was spotted doing some shopping at Kitson in LA yesterday, April 28, and I always forget how much DIFFERENT her style is than Paris. While Paris style is always so over-the-top and tacky, Nickys is much more sophisticated, consisting of a few basic pieces that she makes her own with a few funky twists. For her outfit du jour, NH started with a cutoff denim skirt (for a more polished jean mini, check out James Jeans Matthew Tab Front Mini Skirt in Sky Blue) and paired with a plain white v-neck tee (try P.G.D. Styles Morgan V Neck Tee in Clay, a really cool shade, or for a longsleeve version, peep Qis V Underslip Tee in Antique White) and slouchy black blazer (similar to Signorellis Logo Blazer in Black). Nicky then accessorized with her trusty black Goyard tote, her ceramic Chanel watch, and sky-high black leather Louboutin booties. Jewelry wise, Nicky chose a long, circular pendant (like Rachel Leighs Heart Statement Necklace in Gold) with a smaller silver charm necklace (Maya Brenner Designs Sparkler Necklace in Sterling Silver is a similar option) and a few silver bangles (try Michele Michel Jewelrys Biwa Bangle in Silver). Voila! Cest tout. Are you diggin Nickys outfit, or not so much? Lay it on me, readers! While rumors spread recently that Nicky wasnt too fond of Paris new boytoy Dough Reinhardt (to put it nicely), Doug says that this is simply not so. He said, "David, Nicky, Paris and I hang out almost everyday." Hmm... yes, you may hang out almost every day, but does that mean that Nicky and David enjoy your company? Food for thought!... |

| | Model Chanel Iman was seen working the carpet of the Matthew Williamson for H and M Event in NYC last night, April 28, and was definitely flaunting those signature gams of hers. In a sparkly, figure-hugging micro mini dress (for a few similar options from CoutureCandy, try LaROKs Serengeti Tunic in Black Zebra, Woos Marlein Dress in Retro Feathers, or Gold Hawks Sleeveless Stained Glass Dress in Madagascar), Iman piled on the jewelry with oversized hoop earrings (I love the triple-tone of Lana Jewelrys Ocean Drive Earrings in Tri Gold), a boho-chic woven headband, and tons and tons of silver bangles and bracelets (emulate her look with Alex and Anis Set of 7 Signature Expandable Wire Bangles in Silver). For the finishing touches, Chanel toted along a charcoal and black leather shoulder bag with gold hardware and slipped into a pair of slate grey heels that I have to say Im not too fond of (Ive never ever been a fan of a square toe). Overall, though, I think CI is rocking this look - what about you? At the event, the up-and-coming model gave an interviewer a piece of her mind when they asked her what she was wearing. Chanel paused for a moment, then responded, "Its not H and M!" When she was reassured by the reporter that many of the other attendees werent wearing the new line either, she said, "No, its Topshop! Ahhh... I would have worn H and M if I knew I was coming here earlier! But I just sort of got out of the car. I had on pants earlier, but I just took them off." Pants? Who needs pants! No wonder that "dress" is dangerously on the short side!... | | |
