STAY POSITIVE, PRAY LOUD February 13, 2009 at 9:25 pm Continuing on her tour with Rascal Flatts, Jessica Simpson took the stage in Charlottesville, Virginia on January 29. Choosing a much more flattering fit, Jess wore a classic blazer (try William Rasts Outerwear Black Jacket in Black) over a chic white v-neck (like Qis Chiffon Vest in Arctic in White) with a super wide black belt (I love Jack Rabbits sophisticated Icon Belt in Black). Im not sure about the shiny black leggings, but lets face it, theyre not really flattering on anyone (try Tag Jeans matte Stretch Skinny Pant in Black). Throwing in a bunch of eclectic Western inspired bangles (try Amy DiGregorios Coolidge Street Bracelet in 14k Gold Filled with Accessories and Beyonds Braided Leather Bracelet in Brown) and a big turquoise ring, Jess started her performance in shiny stilettos and ended the night barefoot, proving even she cant handle standing in 4 inch heels for more than an hour! At the concert, Jess gave fans a hearty dose of positive advice: Please remember, no matter what you go through in life, somebody else might have it harder. So just appreciate. TOKYO TWIST February 13, 2009 at 8:22 pm Looking ravishing while enjoying herself in Tokyo, Angelina Jolie captivated reporters at a press conference for Changeling on January 30. After attending Brads premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button the night before, Angie looked perky and polished in a Ralph Lauren Collection cashmere dress (check out similar sweater dress options like Autumn Cashmeres Racer Back Dress in Mushroom or the similar shape of Aristocrats Valentina Dress in Cymberline) and demure peep-toes. I love Angies black pearl earrings (try Michele Michels contemporary Onyx Disco Ball Earrings in Silver) and matching pearl ring, and I have to comment on how radiant she looks. The twins are in Japan with Brangelina this time, and you know they cant be sleeping through the night just yet! When asked recently about how she juggles traveling with six children, Angie dished on the family routine: Our kids are always packing. They like to pack; its a game in our house. It can get very hard trying to find 20 minutes to close your eyes if youve been up since four in the morning. We travel so much, we never have to adjust. We change school time to four in the afternoon if we have to! That doesnt sound very healthy to me, but you cant beat the multicultural experiences the Brangelina clan are exposed to! For her outfit, Hil started with a dark brown top with built-in scarf (Gold Hawks Scarf Tunic in Terracotta has a similar silhouette) and paired with a super wide-leg pair of dark wash denim (for similar options, check out James Jeans Harley High Rise Super Wide Leg Jean in Kelp, Denim of Virtues High Rise Wide Leg Jean in London Fog, or Joes Jeans Stardust Superflare in Beatrice) and oversized Chanel earrings. For those of you who havent heard, Hilary is in a major feud with actress Faye Dunaway, regarding Hils casting in the upcoming remake of Bonnie and Clyde. Originally, Faye slammed Hil by saying that the casting director could have "at least hired a real actress, to which Hilary responded, "I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now too." Yeow! Hilary discussed these digs on a recent appearance on "The Bonnie Hunt Show," saying, "None of my fans even knew who she is. HES KIND OF AN A-HOLE February 13, 2009 at 7:43 pm Making time for an acting lesson at a private residence, Jessica Alba was spotted on her way back to her car in Los Angeles on January 30. Jess put her casual fit together starting with a plain white tee, indigo skinnies (like Tags super comfy Skinny No Flap Jean in Rinse), and an unbuttoned denim vest (try Zoas funky T Back Vest in Midnight). Adding a red checked scarf (A Graves Unicorn Scarf in Blue would be adorable with the shiny vest above), blue Wayfarers and some cute peeptoe flats, Jess looks perfectly casual without trying too hard. Looks like her bangs need a trim, but otherwise Im loving the fresh fit. Thoughts? We all know how much Jessica loves to speak her mind, and recently she set off a little controversy with none other than FOX News resident Bill OReilly. At the Pre-Inaugural Declare Yourself event Jess attended in DC last month, she was approached by Bills producer and asked to give a shoutout for the show. Jess politely declined, saying, No. Hes kind of an a-hole. A little bit. When asked how so, Jess replied tartly, I dont know how he does it, maybe hes born that way. OReillys producer continued to badger her for an example, and Jess replied wisely, Ummm no, because that means Im admitting that I actually watched FOX. I for one am not a fan of Bill OReilly, so good for Jess! Of course the video of Jess mouthing off was aired on his show, with Bill saying Jessica could benefit a lot by watching The Factor. WHITNEY OF HONOR February 13, 2009 at 7:23 pm "The City" star Whitney Port was spotted doing some shopping and hailing a cab after making a few purchases at Carlos Mieles store in NYC on February 12, looking very ballerina-inspired from the waist down. She might be famous, but that doesnt mean shes subject to special treatment: airport security made her take off her jacket and heels, and a female officer patted her down after she walked through the metal detector. Not something you see everyday! A few weeks ago Anne Hathaway mentioned Bs curvy figure while venting to the press: I dont think its just Hollywood that gives out that message [that women have to be thin]. As a society we put out these unrealistic body images to young women. But Im a normal shape and Scarlett Johansson is not a skinny, skinny girl. Beyonce Knowles looks after herself and has a beautiful body. B is known for her bootylicious figure and is a great role model for girls to look up to, but do you think weve all gotten a little too body obsessed these days?... For her Style Awards outfit, Miller started with a black blazer adorned with grey and black feathers on the shoulders (for a simpler, chicer alternative, check out Signorellis Logo Blazer in Black) over a aqua blue patterned frock (similar to Kelly Cushings Mini Scarf Dress with Sash in Leaf Print) with black tights. I cant), recent reports state that Siennas role of Maid Marian in Sir Ridley Scotts upcoming film Nottingham has now been offered to Cate Blanchett. Actor Mark Strong, who is attached to the role of Sir Guy of Gisbourne, tells the UK Telegraph, "I think Cate Blanchett is set to take the Maid Marian part. She is a wonderful actress and it would make it a much classier film if she was in it." Ouch! I wonder if Sienna has any response to this "classy" comment?... I just cant help but love this look from head to toe -- its so different from HPs typical minis! Starting with a fringed flapper dress (check out Black Halos collection of vintage-meets-mod dresses like the Strapless Box Pleated Dress in Black), HP rocked the 20s vibe with her satin lapelled blazer (try William Rasts classic Blazer in Black) and dramatic curled do. Adding classic black slingbacks, a sleek black clutch (try Carla Mancinis dainty Small Clutch in Black) and chic diamond stud earrings, I think HP nailed this look. The underage actress was spotted at Crown Bar in LA last week, getting just a little too cozy with crooner Jesse McCartney. Fellow partiers said they were all over each other, with HP sitting in Jesses lap while he nibbled her neck. They were spotted making out outside when a fan approached Hayden and asked for her autograph, which she obliged, so theres no way this is a case of mistaken identity! HP and her beau Milo Ventimiglia do keep their relationship very private, so its possible they split after that romantic holiday vacation together in Bora Bora. Either way, naughty naughty HP!...
