| | Somehow teen queen Miley Cyrus transformed from high school sweetheart to Southern Belle overnight, just in time for the Oscars! Making a dazzling entrance on the red carpet at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles on February 22, Miley wore a decadent ball gown by Zuhair Murad to the ceremony. I absolutely love the scalloped, sparkling tiered layers fanning out in a full shape, even if it is a little costumey. The fan detail on the belt breaks up the gem encrusted look, and the circle cut out on the back adds an unexpected element of sophistication (tone it down with Gold Hawks Tribal Eyelet Dress in Soft Praline). The dress is probably too old for her, but everyone likes to play dress up, right? Miley completed her ensemble with dazzling teardrop earrings (Amy DiGregorios Orchard Park Earrings in 14K Gold Filled would be perfect) and a petite satiny clutch (try Posse New Yorks Catalina Bag in Tan Pearl), wearing her hair swept loosely back with her bangs casually parted to the side. What do you think of her red carpet look? In terms of her career, the release of the widely publicized Hannah Montana movie is looming closer (April 10), and Mileys co-stars just cant keep their lips sealed about secret celeb cameos in the flick. Rumor has it, Taylor Swift, Tyra Banks and Dolly Parton will all appear in the film. Co-star Michael Musso recently talked to MTV about what the movie means to Miley: It has a lot more drama. Theres a lot of sentimental things [in the script] that came from [Mileys] heart and Billy Rays heart, because thats where they live. They shot in all the areas they used to hang out in. More drama? I hope they didnt include any of Mileys real-life drama from the past year in the flick. From racy pics in the shower in her underwear turning up on the internet to photos of Miley pulling her eyes at the corners in what appears to be a slur against Asians, the girl has had quite a bit of explaining to do! And to think shes just 16... do you think we have the next Paris/LiLo/Mischa on our hands?... |

| | Flaunting her curves in a seductive strapless gown, Beyonce Knowles shimmied down the red carpet at the 81st Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles on February 22. Im not sure how I feel about this dress -- what do you think of the overwhelming print? The frock landed her on the Worst Dressed list this year, but I dont think its thaaat bad. Love the classic hourglass shape, flirty fishtail train, and impeccable detailing in the bodice -- the side insets are undeniably slimming on Bs bootylicious figure. The oversized gold floral pattern is just too much -- Id picture this print on upholstery, not a glamorous dress. Not that theres anything wrong with adding a little color to your basic black dress -- if you like the look, check out CoutureCandys fun options for spring like Syla by Sylvie Cachays Bella Dress in Hazy Daze or LaROKs Sophia Dress in Black. To complete her fit, Beyonce chose a dazzling gem encrusted ring to complement her monstrous wedding ring (Rachel Leighs versatile Nicoli Ring in Gold would go with either frock above), smoothing her hair into a sleek ponytail with curls falling down her back -- possibly a hair piece? Overall Bs look is elegant, yet simple -- at least she didnt over do it in the accessories dept, since the print is an accessory on its own. Whats your final verdict on the frock? In case you didnt catch the Oscars live, Beyonce took the stage with Hugh Jackman and performed an eclectic montage of classic showtunes during the Oscars ceremony. High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens also joined in for the finale, as well as Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper from Mamma Mia!. It was a pretty crazy number, directed by Baz Luhrmann of Moulin Rouge! fame (so thats how the Moulin Rouge theme song made it into the mix!). If anything, the montage proved Beyonce can still sing her heart out, even threw in a few bars of her recent cover At Last -- in your face, Etta! Now that the show is over, B is prepping for her tour and asking fans to come up with the best rendition of her Single Ladies video. The winner of the contest will be $2,500 richer and have their video shown during the upcoming tour -- not a bad prize! Will any of you be sending in your own submissions?... |

| | AnnaLynne McCord was spotted leaving Bar Delux in Hollywood last night, February 26, with a red rose in hand - and I am seriously wondering WHAT is going on with her self tanner/makeup situation here? Its like way too much tanner on her nose, cheeks and chin, and then ghost white around her eyes. I dont get it and I dont enjoy it. Check a mirror before leaving the house, girl! Im also not too sure how I feel about this outfit of hers... its a little too Paris Hilton-y for my taste. In a figure-hugging white dress that I feel like Ive seen her wear a billion times before (for a similarly sweet little number, check out D and Gs Cotton Stripe Dress in Khaki) with a firetruck red waist belt (try Linea Pelle Collections Suede and Gunmental Grommet Waist Belt in Crimson) and matching shoes, the only piece I slightly like is the snakeskin scarf (for a similar piece, take a peek at A Graves Paisley Scarf in Grey). I dont know though, that is just my two cents - what are your thoughts? While AM express interest in participating in the new Twilight sequel, New Moon, it looks like it is not going to happen. McCord tells OK!, "I am so disappointed, but it doesnt look like it is going to happen with my schedule," of playing the role of Heidi. Geez, it seems like just about everyone in Hollywood (Ive even heard rumors about Madonna!) is interested in having a piece of the New Moon pie. I think everyone just needs to take a chill pill - if its meant to be, youll be cast!... |

| | The newly single Megan Fox was spotted out and about in LA yesterday, February 26, flaunting her assets and probably making ex-fiance Brian Austin Green weep tears of sorrow for losing her. Keeping her outfit casual and simple, MF chose a black tank (like Zoas Logo Cami in Black) under a luxe grey cardigan (practically identical to Signorellis Love Tree Button Cashmere Cardigan in Ash) and paired with cuffed, destroyed denim (try cuffing James Jeans Ritchie Slim Ankle Leg Jean in Geneva) and a pair of Christian Louboutin espadrilles. While Megans look is ultra-casual here, do you think it works for her? While Fox and Green announced their split only last Tuesday, it seems that Megan is still shacking up in Brians house. What do you think dear readers, if you and your significant other were to call it quits, how long would you wait to peace out of their house?
