Now that she has time to relax after spending a few weeks abroad consumed by a whirlwind of promotional appearances, Kate has been enjoying her time home with her 5 yr old son Ryder, with a few trips to the beach in between. Kate was spotted paddle surfing with friends in Malibu earlier this week, and enjoyed a short trip to Maui as well. Whats next for Kate? In an interview with InStyle UK, Kate talked about her version of single parenting: Being a single parent can be difficult, but I dont feel I am one. Chris [Robinson] and I are co-parenting and traveling is where it gets difficult. Chris is on the road and Ive had a busy last year, so I am going to take a break in 2009.
