In a statement to the Associated Press, McGwire finally admits to using steroids and apologizes. Read more on Mark McGwire’s admission below. After all the denial, Mark McGwire has finally admitted using steroids and says he is sorry. “I wish I had never touched steroids,” McGwire said. “It was foolish and it was a mistake. I truly apologize. Looking back, I wish I had never played during the steroid era.” In the past Mike McGwire denied using any performance-enhancing drugs while playing baseball. McGwire admitted he used steroids here and there from 1989-1998. He said he believed the steroids would help him recover from injuries. Back then McGwire set what was then a single-season home run record with 70 homeruns in 1998. “I’m sure people will wonder if I could have hit all those home runs had I never taken steroids,” McGwire said in his statement. “I had good years when I didn’t take any and I had bad years when I didn’t take any. I had good years when I took steroids and I had bad years when I took steroids. But no matter what, I shouldn’t have done it, and for that I’m truly sorry.” McGwire is now the hitting coach of the St. Louis Cardinals. Mark had kept himself form the public eye after the 2005Congressional testimony. In his statement to the press, McGwire thanked the members of the St. Louis organization for “bringing me back to baseball.” “After all this time, I want to come clean,” McGwire said. “I was not in a position to do that five years ago in my Congressional testimony, but now I feel an obligation to discuss this and to answer questions about it. I’ll do that and then I just want to help my team.” “It’s time for me to talk about the past and to confirm what people have suspected,” McGwire said. Simon Cowell plans to focus his attention on a new talent search show after this season. "The X Factor will launch in 2011," Cowell told reporters Monday. "Because of that, this will be my last season on American Idol." Cowell, who launched The X Factor in the U.K.,  will be the executive producer and judge of the American version. "I'm thrilled that we have put a date on the launch of the U.S. version of The X Factor, and delighted to be continuing to work with FOX," Cowell said in a statement. "We have a fantastic relationship, a great team and are all very excited about this." Season 9 of American Idol will premiere Tuesday (8 p.m. EST) on FOX. Sarah Palin will be sharing her conservative views as a commentator for Fox News. “I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News,” Palin said in a statement posted on the network’s Web site. “It’s wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news.” As part of the multi-year deal, Palin will offer political commentary and analysis. And Palin will host episodes of Fox News “Real American Stories,” on occasion. “Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup,” Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming, said in a statement. Sarah Palin is very popular with conservatives and has more than 1.1 million Facebook followers. Palin stepped down as Alaska governor in July, almost a year after she found fame as John McCain’s running mate. Back in the eighties, Palin worked part-time as a weekend sportscaster for KTUU-TV in Anchorage. Sarah Palin recently ended her nationwide tour promoting her book “Going Rogue”. This means disgusting Sisqo got Jamila pregnant at 14 years of age! Read more on this story below. The Thong song singer had sex with the 14 year-old Jamila Farid after a Dru Hill show in Zurich and she has now filed for child support from Sisqo. “After the concert Sisqo was standing with his band at the bar. We went over and talked to them. Then everything went very fast,” Jamila stated. “I was so young, but I wanted to enjoy my life. Ian often saw his father on TV. He’s very proud of him. It’s up to his father to prove he’s right to be proud.” Jamila, 25, says she snuck into the club and that Sisqo grabbed her arm and took her back to his hotel without even asking her age. Farid lives in Zurich with son Ian, now 10, says she became pregnant with Sisqo’s child when she was just 14. And now Farid wants Sisqo to admit he is Ian’s father and to pay child support. Sisqo, whose real name is Mark Althavean Andrews, has refused to take a DNA test, which has forced Swiss authorities to declare he is the father.  Jamila says she isn’t interested in Sisqo’s money but wants her son Ian to meet his father. When Ian was just 4 years-old, Jamila had a chance to confront Sisqo when she  heard Dr Hill was coming to do a show. Jamila said, “‘So I went to the gig armed with a photo of Ian to show him.’ However, when Jamila went up to Sisqo after the gig she was shocked by his reaction. He recognized me straight away,” she said. “But to him I was just the girl he’d had sex with.  He said:Come back to my room with me again. It was clear he remembered me as the girl he had sex with. But not as the girl with the baby.” Jamila was angry,”‘I was shocked at his behaviour and said no.” The legal process was slow but Sisqo was finally sent a notice from the Zurich High Court in 2006 ordering him to comply and in 2007 Jamila had to go to give evidence about what happened that night. Then later that year Jamila ran across Sisqo’s profile on Myspace and got the courage to send him a message and a photo of Ian. But she says the singer responded: “Ur child looks nothing like me.” Courts in Switzerland accept a man is responsible for a child if he continues to refuse a DNA test. Now child support services is after the deadbeat Sisqo for support. Read more on Olivia Namath’s arrest below. Olivia Namath was arrested and booked at Palm Beach County Jail at about 4 a.m. on Sunday. Olivia was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, as well as intent to sell, and possession of alcohol by someone younger than 21 years of age. Namath’s daughter was pulled over for speeding at around 1 a.m. and the officer noticed the smell of marijuana. The officer conducted a search of the vehicle and found a small bag of pot on the driver’s side floorboard. He found another 200 grams in the trunk as well as an open bottle of rum and 11 bottles of Miller Light. Olivia reportedly told police she didn’t know the marijuana was in her trunk. Yea, right! She was later released on $3,000 bond. The Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath has battled his own demons over the years, revealing he had an alcohol problem. January 11, 2010 at 12:03 PM Senator Harry Reid’s comments during the 2008 elections were considered racist by many, with some wanting Reid to resign. Harry Reid comments that some consider racist include calling President Barack Obama "light skinned" with "no negro dialect" except when he wants it. But President Obama has spoken with Reid about his comments and says that he knows what is in Harry Reid's heart and considers the book "closed." Harry Reid comments were made when he was stating that Obama was electable. But George Will agrees with Reid, stating "I don't think there's a scintilla of racism in what Harry Reid said. At long last, Harry Reid has said something that no one can disagree with, and he gets in trouble for it." But what about former president Bill Clinton’s comments? When his wife Hillary was running against Obama, Clinton belittled Obama by saying: "A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee." Do you guys consider Senator Reid’s comments racist?
