The artist’s wife, Gwen Huneck, spoke about her husband’s death. “Tragically, Stephen took his own life,” Huneck wrote in a letter posted online. “Stephen had been despondent for some time now and was being treated for depression.” She also said they worried about losing their home and mountain-top farm called Dog Mountain due to the economy. On Tuesday, they had to lay off most of the employees of their art studio and the chapel. “This hurt Stephen deeply. He cared about them and felt responsible for their welfare,” she said. Just two days later, Huneck shot himself in the head while sitting in his car outside his psychiatrist’s office. “He was one of the most creative and active members of the Vermont crafts community,” Jennifer Boyer, co-owner of the Artisans Hand craft gallery in Montpelier, said in an interview. “I appreciate how much energy he put into his works, which were whimsical and sardonically funny. He really had a unique sense of humour.” Huneck started out in the antique business and as a furniture maker. He taught himself to carve and his artistry was inspired by his love of dogs. He also wrote children’s book which included My Dog’s Brain, The Dog Chapel and the Sally series, inspired by his dog. So sad…Our condolences to his family, friends, and fans. Gary Coleman Wants You To Boycott His New Movie Because Of His "Ugly" Body Double January 8, 2010 at 5:27 pm Gary Coleman wants his fans to boycott his latest movie called “Midgets VS Mascots because he is unhappy with his “ugly” body double in his full-frontal nude scene. Read more on this story below. Gary Coleman is requesting that his fans boycott his latest movie after being unhappy with the body double used for his full-frontal scene in “Midgets vs. Mascots”. The little actor was reportedly furious after learning a scene in the 2009 comedy appeared to show him all nude but with an unattractive body double.  Gary says he never agreed for his privates to be revealed in the final version, and that the actor standing in for him just doesn’t do him justice. Hmm… Coleman told EOnline.com, “I wanted all my fans to protest my penis being in the movie, because I didn’t want that. It’s a body double, I believe, because I certainly was not gonna do this. And I heard that the body double is ugly, and is unattractive, and does not make me look good.” Gary just got out of the hospital after suffering a seizure while doing a phone interview promoting the new movie. Tila Tequila Calls Casey Johnson's Family A "Piece Of S***" January 8, 2010 at 11:45 am Reality star Tila Tequila, who is supposedly in mourning for fiance Casey Johnson as she poses for photographers in a skimpy outfit, says the Johnson family is a piece of s*** who abandoned their daughter. Tequila is calling them a “piece[s] of s***” who “abandoned” their daughter. “Some ppl think just cuz they’re rich that they can just stomp all over other ppl. Even if that means taking away their daughters happiness!” she Twittered. “My Wife hated them,” she added. “Just wait til I tell everyone the truth I have proof.” The Johnson family had cut ties to Casey due to her erratic behavior and drug and alcohol abuse. Casey’s father and ex-wife Sale finally tried tough love and cut off their daughter’s money. But Tila Tequila, real name Tila Nguyen, 28, thinks her family just abandoned her and that she was the only one there for Casey. “Her family abandoned her for 5 years, her friends never called her, ONLY I DID,” she wrote. “Who was there for her? I WAS! I took care of EVERYTHING! While her ‘friends’ used her!” “Now that she’s gone her family and so called ‘FRIENDS’ pop up at my house, stealing our stuff & acting like they care? Johnson’s long-time friend Courtenay Semel has lashed out saying, ‘The thing I find the most sickening is that the media is giving [her] the one thing she craves: attention. Tila, you knew her for a week,’ Semel stated. Tila obviously sees nothing wrong with ‘You NEVER even knew her,’ Semel continues. ‘You have known her for a total of one month you took advantage of someone in her weakest moment. ‘You enabled her death and prevented her getting the help she SO DESPERATELY needed for YOUR OWN selfish purposes. ‘She was a classy woman who would NEVER have had ANYTHING to do with you had she been in her right mind. Casey Johnson was found dead at the age of 30 on Jan. 4 by her housekeeper. The cause of death is unknown and toxicology reports should come in 6 weeks. Actor Dennis Hopper Tells Friends He's Ready To Die January 7, 2010 at 11:08 pm Cancer-stricken actor Dennis Hopper finished filming his television series “Crash”, and the actor is reportedly telling his friends he is ready to die. Read more on Dennis Hopper’s health below. Dennis Hopper, 73, was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in September. The cancer has spread to his bones. “Dennis has come to grips with the fact that the end is likely near,” a friend reveals. “He knew going into the last weeks of filming Crash that he was on borrowed time. His doctors had told him they were no longer able to contain the disease, and his condition had severely worsened.” The legendary actor has starred in movies such as Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet and Hoosiers. Hopper, who has a 6 year-old daughter with his fifth wife Victoria Duffy, 42, is now taking experimental treatment at USC Medical Center. But Hopper’s condition has deteriorated and he was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles before Christmas. The actor has finished editing his 546 page book of photos he has taken.  “Dennis calls the book his legacy, and he’s glad to see it completed,” a friend said. “He knows the end is near, but he’s still the consummate professional that he’s always been. Former Playboy Model Paula Sladewski's Burned Body Found In Dumpster January 7, 2010 at 9:49 pm Paula Sladewski, 26, a former Playboy model, was found dead and “burned beyond recognition” in a trash dumpster in Miami. Read more on Paula Sladewski’s murder below. Former Playboy model Paula Sladewski’s body was found burned in a trash dumpster in Miami. Sladewski’s boyfriend, Kevin Klym, was vacationing with her in Florida and is considered a person of interest. Klym is said to be “devastated and traumatized” by news of the death, said his attorney, Marc Beginin. “He desperately wants this crime solved and anybody involved brought to justice,” Beginin said. Paula Sladewski was last seen alive at 7 a.m. at Club Space in Miami.  She was there partying with her live-in boyfriend, Kevin Klym. Klym told authorities that he and Paula were separated at the club after they got into a drunken argument and he was asked to leave by club bouncers. “He requested the bouncers communicate with her to say that he was waiting outside and the bouncers said they did that,” his lawyer Beginin stated. “They came out and said she didn’t want to leave, she wanted to stay.” Klym went back to the hotel but Paula never returned. Hours later Sladewski’s body was discovered by Miami Dade firefighters who were responding to reports of a fire in a dumpster. The body was burned beyond recognition, and police had to use dental records to identify Sladewski. Paula’s parents said they begged her to get out of her “violent” relationship with Klym. “They fought from the beginning – physical, knock down fights,” Paula’s father claimed. Watkins and his wife Patsy reveal Paula and Kevin had a violent relationship and they begged her to call it off. “They would say ‘but we love each other’ but I couldn't see how,” Watkins said. In 2009, Sladewski was arrested after she broke a bottle over Kevin’s head during a heated argument. Paula was booked for assault with a deadly weapon. But later it seemed Paula was on the receiving end of the fights. Paula’s father said Klym was arrested for breaking Sladewski’s nose in a Michigan hotel room in December while they were visiting her family. Although the couple had a turbulent relationship, her father has no idea if Kevin is responsible for his daughter’s death.  But Watkins is mad at Klym for leaving his stepdaughter alone and drunk in the Miami club. “He had no regard for her safety at all. He was irresponsible in leaving her alone in her condition,” Watkins said. This case sounds eerily similar to bikini model Jasmine Fiore’s death.
