Celebrities are always trying to get richer better themselves.
And with New Year's Day just a few hours away, many of them are planning their New Year's resolutions for 2010.

Well he HAS been accused of threatening his wife with a knife!
Charlie Sheen and his wife Brooke Mueller both have said they want the restraining order against Charlie lifted so they can attempt to reconcile. Under the order Charlie is banned from contacting his wife at all.
Prosecutors filed a motion yesterday opposing the couple's request for dismissal, but they haven't revealed a specific reason. It's unknown when the judge will make the final call.
We still think Brooke is making a mistake trying to patch up their relationship.
It's the last day of 2009, which means lots of pAArties are going on around the world. Now all you have to do is decide who you'd rather spend it with!
Over on MTV, Snooki and the rest of the guidos and guidettes of Jersey Shore will be fist pumping their way into 2010.
Or if seeing orange all night isn't your thing, ex-MTV VJ Carson Daly will be counting down to the new year with pre-taped performances by Jay-Z, Rihanna, Green Day and the cast of the musical Hair on NBC.
Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo flew in style this holiday season when the couple took a flight from Cincinnati to New York… in coach.
Embarrassed as all hell to be the only celebs who don't fly first class, the couple sat together quietly, paid for their cocktails, and "were very low-key," noticed a source.
Yeah, because they were hoping no one would recognize them! How sad to realize your Hollywood career hasn't even warranted you the privilege to fly in first class.
But more surprising is the fact that these two are still together.
Who were the big winners of 2009 in the music industry and who failed miserably???
Among the top tier of '09, we've got all the usual suspects - Lady GaGa (selling 2.3 million), Taylor Swift (5.3 mil, including record sales of 2008) and SuBo, who can't be torn down from her #1 spot on the charts, selling 2.9 million records!
But for every big album released, there's a bomb right below it!
Britney's greatest hits collection only managed to sell a measly 90,000 copies, but Mariah's numbers are even more embarassing!
Mimi only sold 375,000 copies of Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel in '09, even though her 2008 release, E=MC2, sold 463,000 copies in its first week.
Yikes.

Nick Cannon and wifey Mariah Carey like to send a little holiday cheer to friends and family around this time of year.
They especially like to send out these cartoonish Christmas cards.
This year, the cards were illustrated by J. David McKenney and included the whole family, which includes their four dogs J.J., Cha-Cha, Dolomite, and Jack.
On Tuesday, we mentioned that former boybander J.C. Chasez had a tax lien placed against him by the state of Mississippi.
Now his manager is speaking out because he wants everyone to know J.C. isn't broke.
His manager explains that "This is a dispute between 'NSync and the state of Mississippi that stems back from an 'NSync performance in the state. Since 'NSync no longer exists, the state is going after each member individually."
And since J.C. "was the principal member of 'NSync, the front guy, so they are going after him first. This is still an open dispute with 'NSync as a whole and 'NSync is looking to get it all resolved."
Glad to see his manager dragging all members into this $206,965 mess.
Even if you divide that by 5, Justin Timberlake is probably still the only one who could pay for it and have money left over.
P.S. Since when was J.C. the "front guy" of 'NSync??? Guess it depends on who you ask!
Van Morrison's website was hacked and the offenders created the false statement about the Irish singer fathering a child with his manager, GiGi.
Morrison has said that the announcement was completely untrue and "utterly without foundation." He also stated that he is happily married to his wife Michelle Morrison.
This is the second time his website has been hacked!
Sheesh, who has it out for Van Morrison of all people?!
Our biggest fan and conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh is recuperating in a Hawaii hospital after experiencing chest pains during his vacation.
Limbaugh was taken to the hospital in serious condition on Wednesday, but according to a statement issued by his radio show he is now "resting comfortably" in the hospital and due back on his show January 4th.
This is one of the most amazing things we've ever seen her do!
During her Breakaway tour back in 2005, a guitarist on Kelly Clarkson's tour named Dwayne had his ass handed back to him by Miz Clarkson herself, in front of a packed house!
Though we haven't a clue what exactly it is he did, we do know that it pissed her off so much that she fired him, on-stage, mid-song, and she didn't even miss a beat!

Outback Steakhouse has agreed to pay $19 million dollars to female employees who worked at the chain from 2002 to the present for at least 3 years.
According the the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the company frequently discriminated against its female employees by not promoting them to higher-level management positions and denying them "favorable job assignments" that would propel them to a higher position.
Shame on them!
Examples of their discrimination include male managers making comments about female managers letting them down and how they "lose focus" once they have children!
Now the women who worked at Outback during this period and feel they've been discriminated against are encouraged to fill out a claim to get their hands on some of that ca$$$h!
Outback also must implement an online application system as well as create a new job for an executive Human Resources manager in addition to hiring an outside consultant to make sure the company is complying with the settlement terms and providing female employees equal opportunities in their job.
Sounds like they need a babysitter now to keep them on track!
Recently appointed CEO of Outback's parent company OSI Restaurant Partners, Liz Smith, says:
"There is no glass ceiling at OSI, and we do not tolerate discrimination in any form. I have a profound commitment to ensuring not only equal, but very compelling and rewarding employment opportunities for all individuals and I look forward to building on the processes already in place at Outback to ensure we live up to that standard every day."
Hopefully with a female CEO things will start to change over there. As if the company paying $19 million isn't enough incentive!
Stargazers, be prepared for a special treat on New Years Eve!
The night of December 31st, 2009 will see its 13th full moon of the year, also known as a Blue Moon.
While there are usually only 12 full moons in a calendar year, 2009 marks the first year with 13 full moons since 1990 and it won't happen again until 2028!
And for all of you residing in Europe and Asia, you'll be privy to a partial lunar eclipse on the 31st as well. The eclipse is said to take place at 7:23 pm (GMT) when "the moon will pass partly into shadow" by the earth itself.
The Jolie-Pitt family is still in NYC while mama Angelina Jolie finishes filming her flick Salt.
And being the awesome dad that he is, Brad Pitt took the little guys to a bar Dave & Buster's yesterday afternoon.
Along with Brad's brother Doug, the boys enjoyed dinner and some arcade games, all the while being surrounded by security. We even hear Brad handed out some free game cards to some of the other children in the arcade.
What a sweetheart!
His kindness was rewarded as the group left for the evening, when they piled into the elevator and an onlooker yelled, "I love Jennifer Aniston." Brad looked less than amused while his brother burst into a fit of laughter.
We're guessing the person who yelled that was probably drunk.
Of course, word got around that Brad was in Midtown and the photogs came flocking to catch a glimpse. We'd say he looks good, except we can't since he still has that excess growth of hair on his face.
Sources are revealing that MiMi and V-Hudge are in talks to star in a new flick as a mother-daughter singing duo trying out for a reality singing competition show, like American Idol.
The details haven't been ironed out yet, according to an insider, because the role would require Mariah to accept that she is old enough to conceivably have a teenage daughter. As the source explains, "She's a little sensitive when it comes to her age."
Yes she is and offering her this role is like offering her an AARP application. Hah.
Besides, she's just proven to us with Precious how she can be a serious actress. Why would she agree to be in a flick that sounds like Glitter meets Band Slam meets two hours of our lives lost?!
Still, if she does make it, we'll probably have to go watch it. Just to see how much of a train wreck it'll be.
This certainly won't help his ticket sales, unless he's looking to fill the seats with insensitive assholes!
We've just gotten word that earlier this month, there was an incident at Criss Angel's Vegas gig that pissed off a lot of people. During one of his Cirque De Soleil performances, Angel performed a trick in which he asked an audience member to think of a word as he would read the person's mind.
Whether the trick is conjured by the use of a paid actor or actual magical skill doesn't really matter. Either way, the word "read" from the participant's thoughts that evening sent some of the company into an angry rage.
The phrase, which was theatrically written out in huge lettering on banner for the entire audience to see, was "faggot."
According to the source, the incident offended several of his dancers, who demanded that he apologize for his ignorance. True to form, he refused and as we understand it, the dancers went to the Cirque management and announced they were considering a walk out.
As for Cirque management, they claimed the audience member was British and meant cigarettes. How convenient- a scenario that doesn't require Criss to apologize.
The company released this official statement in regards to the incident:
"On December 10, an inappropriate word was selected by an audience member as part of the premonition illusion in CRISS ANGEL Believe. It was made clear to the audience that the word is not one that is used or condoned by Criss Angel or any of the artists in the show, and the emphasis on the word was deflected during the illusion. Audience members are typically not pre-briefed as to the words they can use. Since the occurrence, a protocol has been put in place in case the situation should reoccur."
Once again, Criss Angel proves himself to be an ignorant coward and it seems his new home at Cirque is just where he belongs, since they seem to be as ignorant as he.
But sharing the fate of Lil' Wayne's Rebirth, Usher's upcoming album Raymond vs. Raymond has been leaked and appearing on the Internets this past Sunday.
There's also been many changes to the album's release date originally scheduled for an early 2010 release which was changed to December 21st and is now back at TBD status.
The release date is also different on various websites with Best Buy, Tower, and Fye among others having a pre-order for the album's release on February 16 while Walmart.com is for February 2 and Amazon is for March 1!
And it doesn't even show up on iTunes at all!
Sounds like Usher's camp needs to get their shiz together and set the date, but with all the commotion and changes is the album going to be any good?

That's why she was the driving force behind the new California state law that will allow celebs to file civil suits against photogs!
After spending much of her career followed by flashing bulbs, Jennifer Aniston decided to take a stand and became "instrumental" in having Assembly Bill 524 passed.
Aniston rounded up a group of her famous friends to speak with Assembly Speaker Karen Bass, and their unity against the problem inspired her to write the bill.
Specifically, the law allows "for civil penalties against members of the paparazzi and media outlets that sell and buy unlawfully obtained photographs and video footage of people, including celebrities and their families." The law goes into effect tomorrow.
Lawyer up photogs! We know you won't be giving up that easily!

Rachel Uchitel went running to Billy Bush and Access Hollywood to set the record straight about her alleged weekend with her sugar golfing daddy.
She says the reports are completely untrue and that she spent the weekend with friends, Brooke Muellerstyle. She even had her lawyer, the good old Gloria Allred, draft up an official statement to the press, saying:
"Ms. Uchitel has had absolutely no contact with Tiger Woods for quite some time, and has not seen him or had any communication with him since she has been in Palm Beach."
Well, now that your lawyer has said it, we totally believe you. We'll just ignore the fact that of all the places in the world, including New York, where you live, you decided to go to Palm Springs last week, the place where Tiger is being held in his docked yacht.
We like J.Lo, but we're not feeling her latest singles!
Regardless, Ryan Seacrest has convincedJennifer Lopez to perform live from Times Square on the New Year's Rockin' Eve special he will be hosting alongside Dick Clark.
Ryan talked to her manager at the AMAs about the deal, but J.Lo still wasn't completely convinced. Ryan explains:
"It started there [at the AMAs], and then, no kidding, Marc [Anthony] and Jennifer came over to my house and literally walked through what it would be like in Times Square, and now we've got a stage built here [in that spot in my house]."
"That's exactly what happened. It's a small house!" Seacrest joked.
Let's hope J.Lo doesn't take a "choreographed" tumble this time!
Turns out Lady GaGa is a big fan of Susan Boyle saying that she's her "woman of the year." Gagaloo continues:
"I have watched the clip of her singing on Britain's Got Talent a thousand times and every time I see Simon Cowell's face it makes me laugh out loud. He thinks he knows everything but even he wasn't expecting that.
"She has achieved more in this year than most artists will in a lifetime. This time last year nobody even knew who she was and now she is knocking the world's most established artists off the album and singles charts. Our styles are different. I don't know if we could work together, but never say never. It would be great to work with somebody of that talent."
A GaGa and SuBo collaboration?! We would just about die!
Well, now here's an interesting reason for Brooke Mueller to try and work it out with Charlie Sheen for the time being….
Sources say Sheen's lawyers have informed Mueller her prenup will be increased by $1 million if they stay together and Charlie avoids jail time!
The two would eventually split after the whole domestic abuse debacle blows over (earning Brooke her $1 mil), but in the meantime Brooke would have to lie to the police.
Isn't that called a bribe??????
Friends of Brooke say she's worried she'll be left with little to no money if Charlie goes to jail, and the $$$$ she's set to receive in the standing prenup is "not generous."
So, if Mueller recants her previous allegations of domestic abuse, Sheen will avoid jail time and fork over the $$$$$, but Mueller may be charged with filing a false report!
