Fans of Ricky Gervais' podcast will be pleased to find out that the comedian's downloadable shows have inspired an animated comedy series!
HBO is scheduled to air 13 episodes of The Ricky Gervais Show starting February 19th, which will feature characters voiced by the original creator of The Office as well as Stephen Merchant and friend Karl Pilkington.

The rep says the attention seeker is being punished by not allowing him to appear on the show and is undermining the public's confidence in the justice system.

Jon Gosselin was spotted doing a good deed yesterday.
He offered a helping hand to a family from Arkansas whose car broke down not far from his ex-wife's Pennsylvania. Jon waited with the mother and young daughter until a tow truck came to help them.
Tarantino says he has written about 40 pages of a prequel to his hit film Inglourious Basterds and that it's a possibility the film could get made.
Apparently, it will depend on how the original does during awards season and he's also working on another project entirely, which he isn't saying much about.
The director has only revealed that it's going to be "smaller, less epic" and a "different genre entirely" from Basterds. He's planning on finishing that screenplay within 5 to 6 months.

Diane Sawyer's first evening as the new World News host went pretty well.
Monday's newscast brought in an average of 8.934 million, which is the highest rating the show has gotten to date this season. Though NBC still took the lead in that half hour with 9.305 million viewers, it is still an impressive number on her first shot out.
Creed member Scott Stapp and his wife Jaclyn are expecting their second child together in the summer.

She must have spent thousands on trees, decorations and the kind of toys Michael would have loved to be fooling around with on Christmas morning.
"Christmas is especially significant for the family this year as the first without Michael and the fact Christmas Day is exactly six months since his death."

Sources are claiming that there are some music execs after any secret tracks recorded by the late Brittany Murphy. Though she was better known for her acting chops, Brittany did have a mildly successful dance hit with Paul Oakenfeld a few years ago. There are some who believe that there are more tracks of hers out there, and they want them to release.
A music executive suggests:
"Obviously this isn't a Michael Jackson thing, but people are definitely interested in Brittany and her story. Depending on what she may have recorded and what kind of quality it is, she could end up having a hit song or two."
There is no word yet if Brittany's family or management are interested in making any kind of record deal.

Though Kate Gosselin has already shot the pilot for the project, producers of the new show Momlogic have cut her from the show for being too "controversial".
The show, which plays out kind of like The View just with celeb moms like Paula Deen, is looking to get pitched fairly soon, so the execs had to make a decision beforehand whether or not to keep the mom of eight on staff. Ultimately, they decided against her, say insiders, because they felt she wasn't "ready for a full-time hosting job, even as part of a panel."
We don't happen to agree. Audiences love a little controversy and we think they'll have a better chance selling the show if they keep her, rather than letting her go.
A hefty allegation and for Frances Bean Cobain's sake, we sincerely hope it isn't true.
Sources are revealing that lawyers in the Courtney Love & Frances Bean case have been asked to seal documents relating "to a minor and allegations of domestic violence."
These new documents don't get too specific, but they do refer to Frances Bean's medical records and keeping them out of the public eye. The docs also say "In this proceeding, every document reveals details of Frances's (sic) relationship with her mother."
Could physical abuse been the cause of Frances leaving her mother and getting a restraining order?
Prince William slept on the streets of London last week to raise awareness for homeless charity Centrepoint, getting comfortable for the night with only a piece of cardboard and a sleeping bag!
He was accompanied by his armed personal protection officer, his private secretary and the chief executive of Centrepoint. The Prince says of his experience:
"I cannot, after one night, even being to imagine what it must be like to sleep rough on London's streets night after night. I hope that by deepening my understanding of the issue, I can help do my bit to help the most vulnerable on our streets."
While Beyonce's parents marriage is on the outs, Mr and Mrs Jay-Z are making their bond stronger by merging their last names.
The two-some will now be known as Shawn Knowles-Carter and Beyonce Knowles-Carter.

Professional hot mess Amy Winehouse was charged today with a public order offense and common assault after Saturday's incident at Milton Keynes Theater when she got into an altercation with a member of the theater staff due to her heckling during a performance.
The usher tried to escort a clearly effed up Wino out of the theater, but she wasn't going without a fight both punching and kicking the usher!
Wino was arrested today at the police station where she showed up with her lawyer. She has been released on bail and is due back in court on January 20.
We don't know if Amy will ever get her shiz together!
Richard Heene, the delusional conspiracy theorist behind Balloon Boy, has been sentenced to jail time!
Heene will be serving 90 days in jail, 60 of which will be part of a work-release program when the dummy hopes to work as a construction contractor to earn a few extra dollars.
Richard has also been placed on 4 years probation, as well as being barred from earning any $$$$ from the Balloon Boy hoax during the time of his probation.
In case you'd like to see the bad dad off, Heene will begin serving his sentence on January 11th.
After running from the law this past fall, Randy and Evi Quaid finally showed up for their day in court in Santa Barbara this past Tuesday!
Only after they were arrested in Texas on Saturday!
The couple, who were charged with "burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy" after they left the San Ysidro Ranch without paying their bill, have pled not guilty to the charges.
"They were never on the run from the law," Rod Ponton, lawyer for the Quaids, told reporters. "There's a lot of misinformation out there about this. It's much ado about nothing."
The Quaids are expected back in court on March 1st for the preliminary hearing - but will they actually show???

Last week the Bank nightclub in Las Vegas hosted "GaGa Wars" where hundreds of Lady GaGa impersonators came in their best monster attire to compete for the title of best Gagaloo look-a-like and $2000.
One person that witnessed the insane amount of Gagita-ness said "They take it really seriously. People were going nuts. Especially when [Twilight star] Jackson Rathbone showed up for his birthday."

We'll find out for sure in a few weeks! Brittany Murphy's bereaved husband Simon Monjack is outraged at the rumors that his wife died from a drug overdose or related to an eating disorder. He says:
"I'm confident it wasn't an overdose. She was not a drug addict…There's no question that's rubbish…My wife did not take anything on the morning of her death that would have caused her to be sick or ill, let alone die. It's beyond even the sickest speculation…
"The attacks on me, the attacks on my wife and suggestions that she was anorexic and drug addicted, it's like, look at the (recent) photographs. Look at that smile. That's not the smile of an anorexic or drug addict or someone in a bad marriage. That's someone who was content with her life."
Simon also says that he and his wife planned to release a book of photography in celebration of their marriage. Many of the photos can be found on his photography website.
"The photos (of Brittany) were all taken over a period of one year," he says. "She was a powerful, strong beautiful woman, despite being my baby and her mother's life."
Monjack has also addressed his shady past but disagreed with many of the claims flying around about it admitting, "I'm certainly not perfect, but it's beyond anything I could ever dream the things I've read."
As for opposing the autopsy, Monjack said it was his first reaction, but has since realized it was necessary:
"My initial reaction the autopsy was — they're going to cut her open. I couldn't bear it. That would break her mother, but we realized we needed to know."
The autopsy completed on Monday found no visible cause of death so we are now waiting on the toxicology results among other tests within 4 to 6 weeks.
We hope her family is able to get some sort of closure soon.

Devar Hurd, the man who stalked and harassed Ashanti and her mother with disgusting sexually explicit texts and messages, was found guilty this morning of stalking and aggravated harassment.
His sentencing won't be until after the holidays, January 11th, but the man's lawyer feels that a terrible injustice has gone down today. He still remains firm that what his client did wasn't lewd - it was love! He told the press following the hearing:
"Sending pictures and texts is not crime. The intent was never to harass Tina or Ashanti. What he wanted was what we all want in life — love."

Singer Christina Aguilera was involved in a minor car accident yesterday on 3rd Street and Santa Monica Blvd in El Lay.
Christina was a passenger in the white Range Rover that was being driven by another woman. Their car struck a silver Range Rover as the car tried to turn left.
Police were not called to the scene and no one was injured.
Poppa Jamie Spears will still have control over daughter Britney Spears' life after a judge ruled to extend the conservatorship.
The judge didn't say how much longer Jaime will be getting his $16,000 a month paycheck for watching Brit Brit, but lawyers expect it to last anywhere from 6 to 12 months.
Also getting a nice payout from the judge was Britney's co-conservator Andrew Wallet. From July to November, the judge granted a $174,569.10 payment. The lawyers also got paid as well, receiving $300,000 for legal fees.
Dayum! That was an expensive trip to court.
Another hearing will take place after the holidays on January 14th.

Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor under investigation for the murder of Michael Jackson, recently struck a deal with a British production company and agreed to let them film his work for a special TV documentary.
The crew followed Conrad around on his first day back at his practice since the death of MJ. The producers were specifically looking to capture the reactions of his patients.
In a strange, counterproductive move, Dr. Conrad has insisted that the footage not air until after the MJ investigation is over. Therefore, he hasn't been paid a cent!
And we all know he has one hefty child support bill to pay!
What's the point of shooting it if you aren't going to air it while people still know who the hell you are? Whatcha hiding, Conrad?
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has issued an official statement saying that he is entering a rehabilitation facility for his addiction to prescription medication:
"With the help of my family and team of medical professionals, I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates."
Tyler's addiction arose from suffering many injuries over the last 10 years of performing.
This might explain his erratic behavior we've been hearing about from his bandmates.
We've just learned that final arrangements for Brittany Murphy have come together. She will be laid to rest tomorrow, Christmas Eve, at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.
The ceremony is listed as being "strictly private."

Meryl Streep says she doesn't mind doing sex scenes, referring to her character in It's Complicated who has an affair with her ex-husband played by Alec Baldwin. The actress says:
"Sex scenes, love scenes. yes, at this age it's unusual for somebody to do a love scene, to be making love. Yeah that is unusual. But that is just how benighted we are. Because, you know, we still are alive. It's you and I, baby. It's authentic."
Meryl thinks the Hollywood obsession with age is silly and she is happy to continue working in romantic roles.
